Amtrak's new Merced station replaced one of the oldest
stations in the valley, the San Francisco and San Joaquin
Railroad stop. The station is fully staffed, offering
ticketing, checked baggage and package express service.
Multiple ride tickets for frequent users can save as much as
50% off regular fares. Ask your local Merced agent for
details. Amtrak California has also
introduced a new Student Discount program for University

Greyhound Lines, Inc. is the
largest provider of intercity bus transportation, serving
more than 3,100 destinations with 16,000 daily departures
across North America. Greyhound also works in conjunction
with Amtrak making connections to cities not served by rail
